I forget yesterday,
With all it's hurts and pains,
With it's cloudy skies and morning rains,
I forget the betrayal.
The smiles I mistook for love,
The lonely heart I never could have,
I forget the longing,
The long waits for midnight scribblings,
And moonlit walks, with laughter bubbling,
I forget the regret,
The silent tears and muffled sobbing,
The breaking heart and joy robbing,
I forget yesterday,
When I need to remember,
To remember how it felt,
The cruel slap I was dealt,
Then today's heartache will be no more
